Living on theCôte d’Azur
2006 to today

A family that moved here first

Ab and Jolanda Kuijer left Amsterdam for the South of France in 2006, looking for sun, warmth, and a different pace of life. Neither of them worked in real estate. Ab had spent his career as a journalist and radio and television producer; Jolanda had worked in the region’s luxury yachting and hotel industry.

What they built instead was a way of helping other people do what they’d just done themselves — figure out where, exactly, on this coast, a life could actually work. Twenty years later, that’s still the job: not selling listings, but helping someone find their own place inside a market that wasn’t built to be easy to navigate from the outside.

The founding generation

Ab Kuijer

Founder, Buyer Advisor

Ab moved from Amsterdam to the Côte d'Azur in 2006, after a career as a journalist and radio and television producer. He founded Living on the Côte d'Azur the same year, and was later elected the first Dutch president of the British Chamber of Commerce on the French Riviera — since rebranded the Riviera Business Club. Twenty years on, he still takes clients through the search himself.

Jolanda Kuijer-Marinus

Owner, Buyer Advisor

Jolanda has lived in the South of France since 2006, having previously worked in the region's luxury yachting and hotel industry. She leads the interior design and styling side of the business, and is closely connected to design houses across Italy and Scandinavia — the person clients turn to once a property search becomes a home.

The next generation

Feline Kuijer

Consultant, Ibiza & Portugal

Ab and Jolanda's daughter, and the second generation of the family business. Feline manages the Ibiza and Portugal side of the network, and brings a native fluency in how buyers now search — digitally, quickly, and from anywhere. She still prefers to make her own local visits in Nice.

Ab en Jolanda have helped us very well with the search for our holiday home in the Côte d'Azur. More than full service, always friendly, very quick answers to our questions, also in the weekends or evenings.
